British Elliot Cavalry Carbine

British Elliot Flintlock Cavalry Carbine. Almost identical to the Brown Bess Carbine except 3" longer & has a bar mounted on the left side for a cavalry sling hook. Lock is marked "TOWER" & has Crown over G.R. Special grooved steel ram rod unique to this model. First approved in 1773 for Light Dragoons it continued in service through out the War Of Independence & Napoleonic Wars.
