Description

British 9" Sea Service Flintlock Pistol. Lock is marked, "TOWER & Crown over GR" & has a hardened frizzen. Brass butt cap, trigger guard & rod thimble. Belt hook & ram rod are steel. The 9" Sea Service pistol replaced the 12" in 1790 & many 12" pistols were shortened to 9" as it was easier to handle.
