Description
Irish M27 Helmet Shell. Manufatured by VICKERS for the Irish Free State. This is almost identical to a WWI German M16 trench helmet except it has 2 small brackets fixed to the front to mount a badge. It is estimated that less than 5,000 of these exist out of the original contract for 10,021 produced. Over all rust patina painted black with a few traces of white. No liner or chin strap. This is a very scarce helmet.
