Description
German Chassepot 1866 Bayonet & Scabbard. Manufactured in "Mutzig 1867". One of the many French 1866 bayonets captured by Germany during the Franco-Prussian War. Steel scabbard with much of the black paint remaining has the long frog stud with Imperial German stamps. Cross Guard is German unit marked, "65. L.I. 1. 11."
Condition: ORIGINAL, very goodÂ
