No 4. Trench Periscope. Marked, "PERISCOPE No 18 Mk I, Mis CANADA, 1943. This mirrored device is designed to go on a No 4 spike bayonet on the rifle so you can safely see over the trench or around a corner. First one we have ever encountered.
